Site Analysis & Reuse |

For Expedia, the existing Amgen campus offered ideal site & building characteristics sought after for a 21st Century work environment. Analyzing Seattle's urban fabric, existing building massing ,and unique site characteristics gave insight into reuse potential, and staged growth. The initial corporate employee move was determined as 3,000 individuals, with doubled growth in five years.

 

Space Planning & Amenities |

With the number of employees considered, space was understood and rationalized on a spectrum of individual & group work requirements, as well as a variety of shared amenity & recreational spaces.

 

Phased Construction |

With respect to progressive growth as a corporate headquarters, construction phasing was planned in unison of the ideal workplace environments for employees of Expedia, citizens, and tourists of Seattle-Interbay.
